KennyKreations has now partnered with Nine Patch Media to digitize their stunning new quilt, Midnight Roses - a beautiful tapestry of color and design.

  • This is the fourth block, designed by Jo Moury, Haymarket, Virginia, USA
  • The embroidery will finish at approx. 11" square.
  • Blocks are trimmed to 12.5" before sewing in the quilt.
  • Finished size of the quilt is 56" x 56"
  • The designs are appliqued with additional embroidery.
  • You will be able to make these blocks using our normal KennyKreations applique method, if you do not have the GO! or Studio cutter.
  • These blocks are designed for the Accuquilt GO! Cutter and Studio Cutter dies.
  • 19 pages of Instructions are very detailed and provide you with all the information you need to cut your shapes and embroider your block.
  • There is also a 13 page document listing Fabric Requirements and instructions for making the quilt in the conventional manner, as well as a Reversible Quilt Technique , courtesy of Sharon Pederson.
  • There is a free tutorial on our Rose of Sharon applique methods on our Tutorials page.
  • You can make this block in the 5x7" hoop.
  • Designs are also combined for the large hoops, including the Janome11000 Macro Hoop, Janome MC12000 GR Hoop, PfaffCV and Husqvarna Diamond (VP3),  Bernina830 (EXP) and Brother Quattro, Innovis and PR Series, Babylock Ellisimo, Elna and Singer

InSharon and Elizabeth 2009, Sharon Pederson and her business partner and friend, Elizabeth Phillips, came up with the most amazing concept to bring together a group of companies, with a number of quilt designers. Electric Quilt set up a challenge for quilters all over the world to create Rose of Sharon blocks using shapes that they provided.

  • They received over 850 beautiful blocks from designers in 11 countries.
  • Island Batik provided the richly colored fabric palette for the quilt.
  • Aurifil thread provided the beautiful Italian cotton to embroider and quilt the blocks
  • AccuQuilt developed a licensed die to cut the fabric shapes.
  • Bernina provided an embroidery machine and their partner OESD digitized the winning blocks.
  • Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims from the Quilt Show judged the final blocks to complete the quilt.
  • The result was the wonderful Rose of Sharon quilt.
  • The project supports the Alzheimer's Art Quilt initiative, a volunteer driven grassrooots charity whose mission is to raise awareness and fund research.

The Rose of Sharon Die is availableMidnight Roses Quilt
for the GO! cutter and for the Studio Cutter.

This is a Licensed Die designed by Sharon Pederson

  • 55045 for the GO!
  • 50342 for the Studio

There will be a Rose of Sharon Die 2 released at Houston.
