Rangoli is a traditional decorative art of India. It is usually done by women, using dry or wet granulated rice or dry flour, to which vermillion, turmeric and other natural colors are added. The designs are painted on the floors of living rooms and courtyards during Hindu festivals.

If you wish to use them as quilting designs, you would baste the 3 layers, backing fabric, wadding/batting and then your feature fabric in the hoop and then sew the design.
